PostSubject: Slow Air Leak   Wed Mar 16, 2011 4:11 pm

Got a tire on my truck that had a nail in it... It went in just about on the curve between the sidewall and tread but actually in the tread... I've put 4 plugs in it and an additional special plug with glue or something... Anyways, the tire is still leaking air... I've lost about 30 pounds over two weeks or so... Is there a better plug or some wonderful sollution to fix the leak for good... I don't think i can put a patch because of the location of the hole... It's too close to the corner of the tire...

we did the rubber cement thing from the outside of the tire... maybe i'll try it from the inside of the tire... and we used rubber plugs... I've never had a problem with plugs until now...

I put another new plug in with some rubber cement for the fifth time and it's been holding up pretty well... we will see how this works out
