PostSubject: squeek under the truck   Thu Jan 06, 2011 12:18 am

I have an odd squeek sound coming from under the truck only when i am pulling off from a stop or slow roll... It speeds up with the vehicle speed and either stops squeeking or blends into all the other noices... I bought new bearings for my rear axle and after tearing down (in the rain), realized they were fine... Now i'm back to figuring out what in the world the noice is... any thoughts???

I pulled the two piece drive shaft the other day and discovered the issue... It is the middle u-joint between the two shafts... I'm thinking i will just replace all three and the transfer case seal while im down there... Easy, quick, cheap fix...

Yeah a squeek is usually Ujoints, a clunk is either ur ujoint is almost gone or u bolts..

44s id get on that if that snaps you better hope your not on a hill and your Ebrake can hold your truck, and also tow trucks charge extra for big loads!
